Alaska Anchorage Women's Basketball Launches Virtual Visit on GMTM

Campus visits have become increasingly hard to come by with restrictions imposed by Covid-19. GMTM is partnering with multiple organizations to offer virtual visits that will offer you the opportunity to check out what these programs have to offer without having to be in person, on campus.

One such program is the University of Alaska-Anchorage Seawolves Women’s Basketball team. On GMTM, you can take the opportunity to learn more about this fantastic program and work to be a part of it in the future.

With the GMTM virtual visit, you will have the opportunity to get a great introduction to the program from Head Coach Ryan McCarthy. Coach McCarthy is a proven winner, as he has won 86

of his games during his 9 year tenure with University of Alaska-Anchorage. These are elite, hall of fame level numbers and he is a great person to help athletes continue to develop their game at the next level.

The Seawolves compete in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference at the Division II level. They are consistently among the top performers in the conference, and are the only DII program to win a NCAA DI tournament. Championship tradition is their biggest tradition, and you can learn all about it with the virtual campus visit.

They pride themselves in a mayhem style of basketball on the court, as they employ an uptempo offense that goes along with a suffocating defense on the other end. This allows them to wreak havoc on their opponents and maintain such high levels of success. That style is not possible without hard work in the offseason, however. As a result of that, the offseason training program is thorough and will get you in the best possible shape to maintain a high level of play in that mayhem style late into the fourth quarter.

Off the court, this is a tight-knit group that spends a lot of time doing fun activities as a team. You will get the chance to experience all of the wonderful outdoors activities that Alaska has to offer when you come to the University of Alaska Anchorage. This virtual visit goes into a bit more depth about the various fun activities that this team constantly takes part in and gives you the chance to see yourself taking part.

Overall, if you are a high school athlete who is looking for an opportunity to get your name on the radar of a collegiate program, then you should take advantage of this virtual visit with the University of Alaska Anchorage Women’s Basketball team. You could be the next player to lead the Seawolves to a GNAC championship. It all starts with GMTM.
