Athletes Of The Week - July 7th, 2021

With over 30 Virtual Events happening live on GMTM right now, athletes from all over the world are leveraging their talent and finding opportunities easier than ever.

From volleyball to bobsledding and every sport in between, athletes young and old are finding new opportunities when they add content to their GMTM profiles.

Here are a few of the athletes making an impression on coaches this week!


Timothy Smilon, Utica Football Virtual Visit

Going into his senior season, 6 foot 230 pound Timothy Smilon is taking his recruiting journey into his own hands. This week, the defensive lineman sent his game featuring countless sacks and tackles for losses to the coaches at Utica. Check out his profile here.


Benjamin Van Winkle, USA Bobsled and Skeleton Digital Combine: Season 2

Benjamin aka Ben is going the extra mile to impress the USA Bobsled Team by promising to update his 10 yard sprint every single week. This attitude has allowed Ben to be a supreme athlete and even compete in nationals as a sprinter in cycling. Check out his athlete highlights here.


Jahsim Mathurin, Rep 1 Sports Agency

With colleges FINALLY allowing athletes to benefit off their name, many college athletes are trying to make that $$$. Soon to be Dixie State defensive back is ceasing that opportunity by submitting his high school highlights into the Rep 1 Sports Agency! Check out his profile here.


Courtney Sims, USA Weightlifting Combine Series

Courtney Sims is a 33-year-old weightlifter out of Connecticut who trying to get on the USA Weightlifting team. She is another athlete who has played sports all her life and several of them were on a high level. She weighs 170 pounds and can power clean 200 pounds while back squatting 260 pounds. Isaiah Primm, NAVY FIT CHALLENGE

Isiah Primm is the final athlete on this week's athletes of the week. He competed in the Navy Fit Week 1 challenge. He did a combination of pull-ups, push-ups, and dumbbell bench presses. Check out his profile here.
