Last year, 247Sports CFB writer and GMTM evaluator Ed O’Brien broke down Gay’s

Not only does Gay have an ability to snuff out run plays but the track and field
star can also take on Offensive Linemen and fight to make tackles. In his GMTM
evaluation, O’Brien applauded how Gay fights through traffic and sheds blocks
quickly to get back into the play.

Connor Dietz, a former quarterback at Air Force, is one those who is trying to
pave a smoother path for the next generation.

Former Air Force Captain, CFB Player on the Special Warfare Workout Challenge

GMTM, a growing social media platform for athletes, is helping college programs
increase their reach and secure more talent at a fraction of the cost.

Their interactive platform has changed the way Division-III Colleges recruit,
and there is proof.

“We found 40-percent of our next class through our Virtual Visit
[https://gmtm.com/virtuals/42/albright-college-virtual-visit] and expanded our
reach to 16 states," said Shaun Weaver, the Recruiting Coordinator at Albright
College.

Since partnering with GMTM in January, Weaver has had over 250 athletes
participate in their online event.

And Weaver is not the only coach with a success story like that.

“We've had eleven kids in our 2022 class come from non-traditional states,” said
Will Pluff, the Recruiting Coordinator at Utica College in upstate New York.

Pluff said that through GMTM

from athletes in 12 new states. All of those are places that were too expensive
for the school to recruit before.

Over 1,800 athletes have interacted directly with colleges on GMTM this year.
Their submissions came in the form of video introductions and written answers to

How Division II & III Coaches Are Expanding Their Reach With GMTM

that allow athletes to show off their skills. Personal trainers, college scouts,
coaches ask athletes to submit films of themself demonstrating their skills,
intangibles, and gameplay. Once submitted, coaches will look at your film, and
evaluate your game.

To learn how to participate in a Visit, follow the step-by-step guide below:

Step 1: Head to the GMTM homepage & click on the COMPETE tab in the Menu Bar
In the upper right corner of your browser, scroll over the menu bar and select
the COMPETE tab. Once selected you should get a dropdown menu, where you can
choose which type of event you want to participate in. The combine should be the
first item that pops up on the drop down menu

Step 2: Click On The Tab That Says “COMBINE”
This tab should be right above the showcase tab. Once selected, you should be
redirected to a new page with all the virtual combines that you can compete in.


Step 3: Click PARTICIPATE on any one of the virtual visits that you are
interested in
Once selected, you will be taken to a page with a bunch of challenges that you
can participate in.


Step 4: Read the organizations welcome message and start participating in the
events
Most organizations will have quick videos explaining what they want you to do.
Some challenges will want you to show off your highlights while others will ask
for workout videos. Compete in as many challenges as possible ,so you can
increase your odds.

Step 5: Decide which challenges you want to participate in and upload your
submissions so the teams can see your footage

How To Participate In A Virtual Combine On GMTM

(Orlando) - College recruiting platform GMTM.com [http://gmtm.com/] announced
this week that they will be launching a new functionality to enable college
athletes to earn money based on their name, image, and likeness under new state
laws being enacted across the country.

"We are most excited to connect Athletes to other Athletes looking for
opportunities." says co-founder and CEO Joey Grant, himself a former D1 college
football player, “and organizations, parents, and athletes are all interested in
information that could lead to their next opportunity."

On GMTM, aspiring college athletes are able to compete in virtual events and
take online training courses to better prepare for their future careers.
Colleges at every level, professional teams, and even Olympic organizations are
using the platform to find hidden and previously inaccessible talent at a
fraction of the cost of traditional recruiting methods.

"Forty-percent of our new athletes this year came from GMTM," says Shaun Weaver

participate in their interactive campus visit on GMTM. Before hosting their
event on GMTM, which has had thousands of active high school football players
create profiles, reaching that amount of kids was economically impossible for
the small Pennsylvania college.

Albright’s success, though, is a pretty typical result for the dozens of
colleges that have partnered with GMTM so far. And with the advent of new
benefits available to collegiate student-athletes, the athlete exposure
platform’s new project is to help current NCAA athletes expand their reach and
influence.

To support the new monetization rules, GMTM will be enabling current NCAA
athletes to earn money on the platform by offering virtual training courses to
other aspiring athletes and even evaluate their films.

The process is simple for college athletes who want to get involved as
evaluators. The process includes reaching out to GMTM to create their virtual
evaluation page, watching and providing feedback on the film when an athlete
submits and collecting a fee for their verified feedback. Athletes will find the

can share the link to their network of hopeful college athletes on social media.

Currently, the functionality is being utilized on the site by former college
stars such as Jordan Palmer

quarterback coach based in southern California, and 24/7 Ranking Evaluator Ed

outside their regions and collect a fee for their evaluations.

"I’ve always taken pride in offering advice on my career as a player and I think
a lot of other players wish they could do more to pay it forward,” says Grant,
describing the new opportunity for current athletes. “Now through GMTM, current
NCAA athletes can start helping the next guys up,” Grant says, “and make some
money while building their businesses and brands.”

Cleveland Browns Looking For 'Best Bench Press' In High School Football

As an Athlete, I’ve always looked to find meaning in my workouts. Usually this
motivation comes internally - working to get better or be the best I can for my
personal or team goals. 

With Memorial Day coming up this Monday, May 31st, I wanted to shed some light
on a more widely known workout that has a great depth of meaning to our lost
veterans. This specific workout is known in the tactical fitness community as a
“Hero WOD”(Workout Of the Day). 

That workout is 'The Murph Challenge' - found here on GMTM

The Murph Challenge is an homage to medal of honor recipient and Navy SEAL -
Michael Murphy. Murphy passed away tragically when taking enemy fire, while
heroically moving to an exposed position to gain reception to call in assistance
for his SEAL team.

A short recap of Murphy’s actions, according to the Navy as reported in
Men’sHealth “unhesitatingly and with complete disregard for his own life moved
into the open, where he could gain a better position to transmit a call to get
help for his men.

This deliberate and heroic act deprived him of cover and made him a target for
the enemy. He was shot in the back, causing him to drop the transmitter. Murphy
picked it back up, completed the call and continued firing at the enemy who was
closing in.”

The result of this mission was the unfortunate loss of Murphy and his teammates
Petty Officers Danny Dietz, Matthew Axelson, and a helicopter of 16 Special
Forces members. The 4th teammate on the mission, Marcus Luttrell, did in fact
espace and the account is remembered in the motion picture film “Lone
Survivor”.

Virtual Visit: Take A Look Inside Rhode Island College Women's Basketball

Following the social distancing mandates and travel restrictions made during the
pandemic in the summer of 2020, USA Bobsled & Skeleton coaches were concerned
about how they were going to find new athletes. 

Normally, the staff would recruit from the growing pool of former college
athletes and invite top talent to test their metrics on a local track. But, in
the midst of COVID-19 restrictions, that wasn't going to be possible.

So, the USABS staff thought fast and discovered a way to test athletes virtually
- and find motivated young people who could train and submit film from home.

That idea quickly became the USA Bobsled & Skeleton Digital Combine, a free
online event inviting Olympic hopefuls from across the country - no matter the
climate - to train from home, submit a video tryout, and be evaluated by Team
USA coaches.

After the Virtual Event was live for a few months, the USABS coaches had
collected videos from over 100 athletes from every corner of the U.S., most of
which had never considered bobsled as a career option.

Of those 100 athletes who submitted a tryout on GMTM, nine were selected to
training camps in Park City and Lake Placid. In December of 2020, following
their first runs in a sled, all of the athletes were invited to the USABS
Development Program, where they will train with Team USA & take part in
international competition.

Some of these athletes are even contenders to race for the United States in the
2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing, China.

So, since you may very well see them on TV one day, let's learn a little about
each of these recent additions to Team USA:

this season. Will continue the remainder of the season with team trials. Manteo
is a former track and field Olympian and medalist.

Five New USA Bobsled Athletes Who Were Discovered On GMTM

Volleyball athletes from all over British Columbia have started taking matters
into their own hands. Specifically, by using their smart phones to create
content for Team BC's Volleyball Virtual Tryout

The recent pandemic that has mandated social distancing across Canada made
hosting team volleyball events almost impossible. So, British Columbia's
most-elite junior teams have gone online, hosting a Virtual Tryout
[https://gmtm.com/virtuals/organizations/247320/Volleyball-BC] athletes can
submit film to while quarantining at home or social distancing at the local gym.

The Volleyball BC Program, an affiliate of Team BC, sponsors 4 divisions of 
Men's

and Women's

indoor and beach volleyball teams who compete nationally throughout the year.

Using GMTM, Team BC Volleyball coaches are able to watch submissions from
players from every corner of the province, evaluate their talent, and invite
athletes with the most potential to in-person development camps.

The event, which runs from April 16, 2021 to May 21, 2021, was inspired by the
success of Volleyball Canada's Virtual NEP Identification earlier in 2021

For that event, hundreds of male and female volleyball athletes from across
Canada submitted videos in hopes of being selected for Volleyball Canada's
National Excellence Program, a semester-long development program for Canada's
top youth players.

Two Team BC Select teams are hosting a 2021 Virtual Tryout on GMTM. They include
the Team BC Select 18U Virtual Tryout- for athletes born in 2003 or later - and
Team BC Select 17U – for athletes born in 2004 or later. 

The 2021 program will identify and select two training groups (17U & 18U) per
gender and the top prospects in each group will be invited to train with Team BC
in July.

This is the top program for athletes in the Team BC High Performance Pathway,
most of which have their sights on representing Canada in international
competition.

In fact, two alumni of the Team BC Volleyball program (Jamie Broder and Fred
Winters, both from Victoria, BC) were selected to compete for Canada in the most
recent Summer Olympic Games in Brazil.

To be considered for one of the BC select teams, male and female athletes have
to be from British Columbia and fall into either of the sgr groups. For the 18U
Team, athletes must be born in 2003 or later. For the 17U Team, athletes must be
born in 2003 or later.

Volleyball BC Hosts Virtual Tryout For Men's & Women's Junior Teams

The Washington Football Team ended a historic year in early January, after
losing a nail-biter to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card
round of the NFL Playoffs. But, the Washington staff isn't taking much time off
after winning their NFC East-winning season.

Instead, they are shifting their focus to high school athletes as they launch
the Washington Football High School Virtual Combine

The Washington High School Virtual Combine was created for motivated high school
athletes in the D.C. Metro and surrounding areas hoping to play football at the

Washington becomes the third NFL team to host a Virtual Combine on GMTM. The
Cleveland Browns launched their “One More Time” Senior Showcase

What activities are included in the Washington Football High School Virtual
Combine?
The Washington Football High School Virtual Combine features 9 individual
activities, demonstrating necessary skills on and off the field.

The Interview and Character Challenge allow athletes to upload videos, speaking
directly with coaches. The Interview activity is a chance for athletes to tell
their story, what separates them from the pack, and the impact football has had
on their life. The Character Challenge, on the other hand, asks two simple
questions, ‘What kind of person are you?’ and ‘What type of leader do you want
to become?’

After getting to know the person, coaches want to see the player. The combine
also includes six athletic activities - three cone drills and three strength
tests.

The three cone drills include the 5-10-5 and L Drills, to show your speed and
ability to change direction, and the Figure-8 Drill, to show how explosive you
are out of a break.

The strength tests include a 165-lb Bench Press, Push Ups, and Pull Ups. A few

their 15-U travel team. The Gators' coaches are looking for Pittsburgh-area
athletes from 8th, 9th, and 10th grades to submit and earn a spot on their team
that attends national tournaments.
