Football continues to be America's most popular sport. As another season is underway, football fans are gassing up their barbecue grills and honing their tailgating skills.
One organization has its focus on the athletes who won't be on TV during the autumn weekends. Instead, they'll be making sure hundreds of thousands of flag football players of every age group – both boys and girls – have an opportunity to play the game they love in a safe, supportive environment.
USA Football, a member of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee and the sport’s national governing body, leads the sport in 21st century coach education and player skill development. With more than 1 million USA Football coach certifications completed, the independent non-profit fosters a higher standard of play, including on elite levels.
USA Football assembles and manages U.S. National Teams for international tackle and flag competition with more than 70 countries on five continents playing the game worldwide.
USA Football is teaming up with GMTM to help make these opportunities more accessible to more athletes through its U.S. National Team program. This first of its kind USA Football Digital Combine, which launches later this week, will offer a free opportunity for all athletes to be scouted.
What is USA Football?
USA Football designs and delivers premier educational, developmental, and competitive programs to advance and grow the sport. As the sport’s national governing body, member of the U.S. Olympic Committee, and organizer of the U.S. National Team for international competition, USA Football partners with leaders in medicine, child advocacy, and athletics to support positive football experiences for youth, high school, and other amateur players.
USA Football also organizes and supports teams to represent the United States in international competitions such as the recently completed IFAF Women’s Tackle World Championships in Finland. USA Football’s current roster of teams includes the U.S. Women's Tackle National Team, the Junior Flag National Teams, and the Adult Flag National Teams. Each of these teams is selected by USA Football coaches and scouts, many of which will be active in GMTM's Virtual Talent ID event.
In addition to putting together the U.S. National Teams, USA Football works with organizations, coaches, parents, and athletes at every level to deliver a wide spectrum of forward-thinking resources, including the only football coach certification accredited by the U.S. Center for Coaching Excellence.

How can you be seen by USA Football on GMTM?
The upcoming USA Football Digital Combine is an online event open to all athletes interested in competing for a U.S. National Team spot or looking for more opportunities in the sport. Regardless of age or experience, all athletes are invited to create a profile, upload videos, and interact with USA Football on GMTM.
Through the event, USA Football coaches and scouts will be reviewing film and information submitted to the event in order to make selections for future U.S. National Teams.
For parents and coaches, the USA Football Digital Combine is a great way to introduce new athletes to the sport, whether they've never played before or are looking for a new group to compete with.
