Canuck U15 Girls
Class of 2028
I have played club volleyball for three seasons now and currently compete with Canuck U15 Girls Volleyball, a top-tier club in Alberta. I initially played as a middle blocker before transitioning to right-side hitter, where I can contribute effectively as both an attacker and a defender. I was a key contributor to Canuck U14’s bronze medal finish at Nationals (Division 1, Tier 1), and I was honored to receive the Heart & Hustle Award from Canuck Volleyball Club, recognizing my leadership, dedication, and perseverance.
I began my volleyball journey in Grade 7 and quickly fell in love with the sport. I had the honor of being on the senior team in Grade 8, where we won the gold medal in the Tier 1 City Championship final. In Grade 9, I again played with the senior team, where we took home the silver medal in the Tier 1 City Championship final. I am passionate about the team aspect of volleyball, thriving in an environment where players uplift each other and work collaboratively toward a common goal. I enjoy learning to navigate different personalities on my team and embrace leadership opportunities that allow me to foster a positive team culture.
Before transitioning to volleyball, I dedicated 10 years to high-performance tennis, competing in elite tournaments and training in a high-performance program. Competing in elite tournaments across Canada and represented Alberta at the Western Canada Championships. My biggest accomplishment in tennis was competing in the Little Mo International Tournament in West Palm Beach, Florida, where I earned a bronze medal in the singles category in my age group.
In terms of my strengths and skills, I consider myself a versatile attacker with strong hitting capabilities. I possess a high volleyball IQ, allowing me to read plays effectively for strategic positioning. My powerful right-hand swing contributes to my consistency in hitting efficiency. I take pride in my defensive presence at the net, working to shut down attackers and control the game. I am also relentless in my back-row defense, covering the court, going for every ball, and keeping plays alive. I love stepping into the libero role, embracing the challenge of making game-changing defensive saves, and I am a natural leader who brings energy, discipline, and a competitive mindset to every game.
I am excited to apply for a spot with the U15 Team Alberta Indoor as a right-side hitter or libero. This opportunity will allow me to further my skills while being challenged at a high level against top competition. Looking ahead, I aspire to play NCAA Division 1 volleyball while pursuing a law degree. I am committed to balancing my athletics and academics with a strong work ethic in both areas. I love competing, learning, and growing as an athlete, and I’m excited for the opportunities that lie ahead as I continue my volleyball journey.
