About Me
Hi, I'm Mia. I am a diligent student in grade 11 at A.B. Lucas S.S. I love volleyball and am a setter for my 17U club team, KW Preds Embrace and my senior high school team. I am a multi-sport athlete that competes at OFSAA for cross country and track and field. I am 5,10 and I love setting because I can use my creativity and leadership to contribute to setting my teammates up for success!
I am self motivated, disciplined and constantly try to improve my performance. I practice 3-4 times a week with my club and I practice 4 days a week with my high school team during our school season. I have an outdoor 3 season court and I’m dedicated to improving through tough practices, reps, off-court training, nutrition, and mindfulness exercises. I journal regularly about my athletic activity and I understand and value the importance of mentality and attitude and practice this daily.
I am a student of the game and always look for ways I can learn from the sport. I pay equal attention to my academics and currently have a 4.0 GPA. One thing that makes me different from many of my peers is that I pay attention to doing the small things well in practice and in other aspects of my life so I can lead by example.
