What's going on GMTM Family !
Coach TP from EHF Athletics. I just wanted to talk to you guys about how knowledge is powerful on your journey of athletics. Growing up back in the late 2000's early 2010's there was no true social media platform that was being used for athletes. Most of recruiting was handled by your high school coach and various scouting services that made you pay for an opportunity to get your athletic scores and highlights. This also goes along with your training regimen during the season and off season. Your coaches were the only resource you could use and you had to trust that the training you were getting was comparable to the other athletes around the country. We live in a different time now in 2024. GMTM is the perfect example of how with knowledge comes power and what really can separate athletes today is those athletes who seek knowledge to those who don't. There are a plethora of ways to help your game now. Combines, trainers, weight programs specific to you, showcases, seminars all different ways in which knowledge is being given out to help you apply this to your game. In the past if you didn't know you had to wait for the moment to come to you. Now you have all the ability to reach out to different entities to help you expand your knowledge of what all comes with being a great athlete. If you ever feel like you have it all put together and know all that comes with being a great athlete I have to tell you that your limiting your full potential. I made it to the NFL and didn't realize that even though I made it to the big dance that I had so much more to learn to be able to sustain a long career in my chosen sport. So on this journey be a knowledge seeker don't be stubborn to real genuine critique. If you are always putting in work to solve the deficiency in your game you will always be getting better. I'll finish with a quote from my former head coach George O'Leary stating " You either get better or worse but you never stay the same" So just know everyday is an opportunity to get better or worse and it's on you to choose which way you want to go.
