Torrian Wilson Brings 5-Star Prospects, NFL Linemen to Twitch

Crafting Linemen Live, a weekly show hosted by coach Torrian Wilson, is the first live stream of it's kind dedicated to teaching about the Offensive Line position with the help of future college stars and current NFL linemen.

Every Wednesday at 8 p.m., Torrian Wilson props up his computer in his Miami home, sends a virtual meeting link to his accomplished guest, then begins broadcast his knowledge about pass blocking to the world.

Torrian's show is broadcasted on Twitch, a live-streaming site known for its immense online community. But, while Twitch is considered by many as a platform built for games, very few of those consist of a tackle box or even a field.

"Twitch has a huge number of people streaming video games, but we are really focused on using it as a place to teach and connect coaches and athletes," said Joey Grant, the founder of GMTM, who host Crafting Linemen Live from their Twitch handle, @gmtmsports. "Torrian is a great example of the kind of coach that can tell a story," continues Grant, "and he really is able to share the dos and don'ts that athletes can only learn from more experienced guys."

Wilson is able to share a valuable perspective on the game thanks to a successful career of his own. As one of the top 2011 OL recruits in Florida, Wilson received dozens of Division I offers before committing to UCF - where he would line up just a few yards from his center, Joey Grant. Wilson would go on to win a Fiesta Bowl in 2013 and then bounce around a few NFL practice squads, where he fostered relationships with some of his future Twitch guests.

Those guests have included current Kansas City Chiefs OL Danny Isidora and former UCF teammate and a current Atlanta Falcons G Justin McCray. In these hour-long conversations, Torrian and his guests share their extended knowledge on technique and navigating different leagues, while telling behind-the-scenes stories about the NFL and college football.

Last week, Isidora explained to the Twitch viewers what it's like to block for Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Watch it here!

Along with his guests from the NFL, Torrian also interviews top prospects in his home state of Florida. One particular guest, Lawrence "Big Baby" Seymour, a 5-Star OL from Miami, went live with Torrian and chatted about his decision to attend the University of Miami.

Whoever the next guest may be, viewers are sure to hear interesting stories of college and pro football while soaking in tips from some of America's top offensive linemen.

Subscribe to Twitch today and receive an alert next time @gmtmsports goes live!
