USA Team Handball has teamed up with athlete exposure platform GMTM to launch the first step of their talent identification process, the Women’s National Team Virtual Tryout. This is a completely free Virtual Tryout that includes six Handball-specific metrics that coaches will be evaluating.
Female athletes from across the country - regardless of their experience with Team Handball - are invited to create a free profile, submit tryout videos for each activity, and earn their spot on USA Handball's National Women's Team.
Never Played Team Handball? Try It Anyway!
If you haven't played Team Handball before or even been introduced to the sport, Team USA coaches still urge all motivated athletes to submit videos to the Women’s National Team Virtual Tryout. If athletes showcase raw talent and drive, they can learn the sport quickly and find new opportunities as a member of the National Team.

Earn Your Roster Spot & Compete Internationally
Specifically, the USA Women's Handball Team is looking for top athletes ready to compete this summer. The national team is will be inviting the new athletes to train with them, then compete with the team on the international stage.
The athletes discovered by USA Team Handball on GMTM have the opportunity to make an immediate impact and help Team USA qualify for the 25th IHF Women's World Championship in December 2021.
The 25th IHF Women's World Championship will take place in Spain from December 3rd to December 19th and 32 national handball teams will be invited. Games will be played across Spain in five host cities including - Barcelona, Castellón, Granollers, Llíria and Torrevieja.
To earn a spot in the Handball World Championships, the United States' Women's National Team will first have to win the 2021 Women's North American and the Caribbean Championship in Chicago from August 23rd to August 27th in Chicago, Illinois. Twenty-one NACHC teams will be competing with only the winner earning an invite to the World Championships.
